As you can see from the map below, Kihei is centrally located and only 10-15 minutes from Kahului airport. Sugar Beach Apartment is at the beginning of Kihei, and an ideal location for seeing the whole island.
We are close to the nicest swimming, snorkelling and boogie boarding beaches on the south shore (Kihei, Wailea and Makena) and the west shore (Lahaina, Kaanapali and beyond). The north shore (where windsurfing and big wave surfing happens in the winter) is also easily accessible (20-25 minutes away) and day trips to Hana and Haleakala volcano are feasible from here.
Whale-watching trips leave from Ma’alaea boat harbor (5 minutes drive) in the winter and snorkel trips to Molokini leave from Kihei and Ma’alaea year round.
The apartment is 5 minutes walk to a bus stop that goes to Wailea, Ma’alaea harbor, Lahaina and Kahului.
